1999 The Dawn of a New Era
Where to begin? I know?
Every generation has a legend. Every journey has a first step. Every saga has a beginning. The Saga Begins May 19th
These words heralded the beginning of the true dawn of my fandom. 1999 is undoubtedly one of the most pivotal years of my life. I graduated High School in May 1999. In September I went to Marine Corps basic training. The woman who would become my wife and I were just beginning to date. My parents divorced. Oh yeah, it was a pretty good summer for movies to.
American Beauty, American Pie, Castaway, Dogma, Galaxy Quest, Sleepy Hollow, South park, Tarzan, The Mummy, The Blair Witch Project, The Matrix, The Sixth Sense, Varsity Blues.

Holy Smokes! Has any one reading this who is over the age of 10 seen fewer than half of these movies? This is a must see list of awesome movies of the past decade. This is the summer that was the start for two more trilogies, the start of M. Night Shymalan, the continuation of Kevin Smiths career, and apparently the best year ever for sci-fi movies (Muppets in Space being the greatest LOL)
Oh yeah, George Lucas put out a little indie film to. You may have heard of it,
