A Long Time Ago, In A Galaxy Far, Far Away...
It was a mission that changed the fate of the galaxy... in more ways than one. We were both young and in a situation that was going to change our lives in more ways than we could possibly imagine. On a desert planet, we were no longer a Handmaiden and a Padawan. We were just two people who found strength in each other.
Sabe and Obi-Wan met during the Naboo Occupation. Sabe, a young girl from Thera, Naboo, was Head Handmaiden to Queen Amidala. Her duties included becoming Padme's decoy during times of need. Neither girl thought the time would ever come, but it did. Obi-Wan Kenobi played part in rescuing Sabe's group and escorting the lot off of Naboo under laserfire. The Queen's ship damaged, they landed on a nearby, desolate planet called Tatooine. With Qui-Gon and Padme eaving their respective subordinantes behind, the ship and its occupants were left to wait, in hopes of escape.
Obi-Wan began noticing that the "Queen" was afraid of him, and after a confrontation, he realized she was not the Queen. He said nothing, but she knew he had discovered the ruse. The two became something of friends, and kept each other's quiet company during the wait.
The two fought beside each other during the Battle for Naboo, and Sabe honored Obi-Wan during his master's funeral with a blue ribbon (a customary Nubian ritual which represents necessary sorrow and the peace that must follow). The two said goodbye soon after.
A few months later, Sabe retired from Handmaiden and returned to the Naboo Academy to study Galactic Communication, in hopes of pursuing a position as Ambassador.
The records have become distorted at this point, and no one seems to know what happened afterwards. However, many stories and rumours of what might have happened have circulated the galaxy--stories of a forbidden love that challenged laws and the people involved--stories of true love despite the odds. No one knows if any of these stories are true...
But on Naboo, in a small forgotten village, the villagers all remember a girl with a stern brow and quick laugh and the Jedi that came to visit her on the Moonrise...
