But there is another. One who was thought to be another corpse that was held in the grasp of Malachor V's graveyard of ships...He was the Jedi Consular Mortis Everik. Once a proud member of the Jedi Knighthood, he had succumb to his own will for battle when the Mandalorians struck at the Republic. He sought power in the war, and so doing declared himself another of the Sith. Yet the destruction of Malachor severed his connection to the Force, and he was left for dead aboard a lifeless ship that orbited the ruined planet. Yet his will to surive was a strong one...

He healed enough to leave the debris of the last battle, and without his connection to the Force, he wandered the Outer Rim as a clever Scoundral for hire. His cunning and experience had given him the skill to survive without the Force for many years. Ironically, when the Exile emerged from hiding and began a new battle with the Sith, Mortis to felt the rekindled feeling that was the Force. And so traveled the stars in search of clues to the Exiles source of power. From Onderon, to Dantooine, to Nar Shadaa, he sought out anything that could reveal his new destiny. Then he came to Korriban for the first time...
