Nicbr's First Mission
Planet Illum: In Orbit
Nicbr Owabi arrives in orbit above the planet Illum in his personal ship the Serenity in search of his crystal for his lightsaber.
*Alright T3, let's take it in for a landing. Carefully.*
His onboard astromech droid beeps and whistles an affirmative.
*Okay, here we go.* Nicbr says as he begins to guide the ship through the upper atmosphere of the planet Illum.
After a few minutes they make it through the atmosphere and begin searching for a safe place to land.
*T3, that looks like a good spot to me.* He tells T3.
Padawan Nicbr Owabi lands his ship and checks the environmentals of the planet Illum.
*Hmm, environmentals appear to support humanoid life. Perfect. Okay, T3 let's go.*
Nicbr and T3 leave the Serenity.
*T3, keep scanning for any lifesigns. I don't want anything to surprise us. Let's find the crystal and leave.*
They move along the ravine that they landed in and begin moving in a northeasterly direction.
After about an hour of walking with no contact of any kind they come across a cave.
*Hey, T3, hold up for a sec. The Force is telling me something. There's something inside this cave that's affecting the Force. Do your scanners detect any lifesigns in the cavern?*
T3 beeps a negative.
*Alright then, let's go.*
They proceeded forward into the cave.
Little did they know, an alien creature appeared at the entrance to the cave and followed after them.
Nicbr and T3 walk for about ten minutes down the tunnel until it opens up into a wide cavern. There are crystals everywhere. Crystals used for lightsabers.
*Oh T3, we found them!!* Nicbr said until he noticed the broken egg shells scattered amid the crystals.
*Oh no. I have a bad feeling about this.*
About that time T3 begins whistling and beeping and making all kinds of noise.
Nicbr gets the feeling that something is coming behind him.
He leaps into the air pulling out his vibroblade just as the creature that was following him swings its claws at his head.
Nicbr lands safely on the other side of the cavern.
*Woah that was close! T3 get back!* He yells.
The creature growls and charges toward the Padawan.
Nicbr does a quick flurry attack to the front of the creature and leaps over the creatures head to land behind him. He then does a jump attack and injures the creature.
The creature swipes at Nicbr and it hits him sending Nicbr flying into the cavern wall.
Nicbr staggers to his feet and charges the creature, cutting off its left and right arms.
The creature roars in agony and tries and fails to fend off the energized Padawan.
Nicbr does one more combination of flurry and jump attacks and the creature finally collapses to the ground dead.
*Pheww, I'm glad that's over. That was a work out.*
He wipes off his vibroblade and sheathes it. He walks over to the crystal formation and notices that the crystal is reverberating to his presence.
*Hmm that's odd. I didn't realize crystals reacted this way.*
He pulls a crystal piece off and realized it had bonded with his powers.
He walks over to a blue crystal formation and takes a piece of a blue crystal.
*Blue, for that of a Jedi Guardian. That is what I choose.*
He puts both crystal fragments into his satchel and looks over at T3.
*Come on T3, lets head back to the ship and get back to the Jedi Temple.*
T3 rolls over to Nicbr and they both leave the crystal cavern.
They finally reach the ship and enter the Dawn Treader.
*Ok T3 set a course for Yavin IV and the Jedi Temple.*
The Dawn Treader lifts off and they leave orbit, entering hyperspace.
*Strange, this crystal is still resonating my energies. I'll have to talk with Master Brasher about this when we get back.* Nicbr said to himself.
He leans back in the pilot seat of the@#$%pit and closes his eyes to begin Force Healing his injuries.
Several hours later...
The Dawn Treader exits hyperspace and begins to enter the orbit of Yavin IV.
Nicbr Owabi lands in the hanger bay and heads off to find Master Brasher to tell him his mission to Illum was a complete success.
