Summers Almost Over
Well, summer's almost over and I'm actually a little sad about it. I've had a pretty good summer, hectic at times, but good. I haven't done anything special except see more movies than I think I've ever seen, and I know there's at least one left!
My daughter has been staying a week with me at a time, so that has been most excellent! She is such a joy and so smart, that it is a new experience every day with her. I had a family reunion a two weekends ago, which was fun but tiring. My brothers and I are responsible for the bar-b-que. We started about 4:30 a.m. and cooked about 30 brisquits. The weekend before my neice had her 1st B-day party and that too was fun, but tiring.
I've seen all kinds of movies this summer, and of course, am still waiting for the new Star Wars to come out. I saw Iron Man and Incredible Hulk early on. I took the kids to Wall-e a couple of weeks ago. And I saw the Dark Knight this past weekend.....freaking awesome. I think the only big blockbusters I didn't see were Han!@#$and Kung-Fu Panda, which I'm pretty pissed about cause I really wanted to go see it.
It's close, but not over yet. I still have two weddings to attend in August. The first is my best friend from high school, who I roomed with in college. She's like a sister to me. The second is her boyfriend from college, whom I also roomed with and met through her. They're getting married one weekend apart, weird!
I think that's all for now. I'll try to update to more frequently to keep all my WoSW friends posted, here's looking at you Fer. ;)
