The battle cruiser was capable of engaging a Pellaeon-class Star Destroyer in combat. It was approximately a third of the Star Destroyer's size and was more maneuverable.

The blade-shaped superstructure at its front contained many torpedo tubes and starfighter launch bays. It was also armed with multiple turbolaser batteries.

With the large blade-like structure up front, the Scythe-class resembled the ancient Republic Hammerhead-class cruiser.

The Scythe cruiser contains a powerful armament for a ship its size giving it a even greater advatage in combat. Though the Scythe cruiser is a force to be reckoned with, the Pellaeon out matches it in every way other then speed. So no Alliance commander goes into a fight outnumbered.
