Mand'alor Wants You
-INFRASTRUCTURE-
UCOM maintains an on-site presence in the 'All Others Unite' thread within the Yahoo's World of Star Wars roleplaying section. Though many of our members engage in recreational roleplaying, participation is not a requirement for membership.
-MEMBERSHIP-
Applying for membership in UCOM is simple.
1. Contact the Membership Coordinator and arrange for access to the Recruiting and Membership Portal'
2. Read, affirm, and acknowledge the tenets of the Resol'nare'
3. Post your affirmation of the Resol'nare on the UCOM thread in the All Others Unite section.
-THE RESOL'NARE (SIX ACTIONS) OF UCOM-
1. The Wearing of Armor: In order to reinforce solidarity, UCOM members are required to select a Mandalorian-themed avatar for use on The World of Star Wars. Avatars should feature Mandalorian characters, symbols, armor, or weapon systems. This is a prerequisite for full membership.
2. The Speaking of Mando'a: In order to advance the Mandalorian culture, UCOM members are expected to download and utilize the Mando'a lexicon located in the 'Files' section of the Recruiting and Membership Portal. Mando'a will be spoken in UCOM threads and official communications, therefore it is important for individual members to have this resource at the ready.
3. Defending Self and Family: If you, or one of your vode, are harassed by individuals and/or members of other factions, promptly report that abuse to the website administrators. If you, or one of your vode, are harassed by other UCOM members, report that abuse directly to the Mand'alor. Do not under any circumstances retaliate in-kind to abuse, as it could violate the website's 'terms of service' and result in a ban. Do not under any circumstances initiate abuse, as it will result in the revocation of your UCOM membership.
4. Raising Children as Mandalorians: Mandalorians are strong proponents of adoption, therefore UCOM members are expected to mentor both prospects and new recruits in the ways of the Mando'ade. This is a collective responsibility, and all members are required to contribute to the effort.
5. Helping the Clan Succeed and Sustain Itself: Though UCOM boasts a dedicated Recruiting Director, it is the responsibility of each member to be mindful of recruiting opportunities. Additionally, UCOM members should contribute photo and video submissions to The World of Star Wars as often as possible, as well as participate in official competitions when able to do so.
6. Rallying to the Cause of the Mandalore: On certain occasions the Mand'alor will issue a call to all UCOM members. You will be expected to respond (when possible) to that summons and participate as necessary.
