I am a writer, editor, equestrian, and a idealistic dreamer mixed with sheer stubbornness. If this were a 'free-er' world where I do not have to concern myself about keeping on the straight and narrow in order to pay the bills, I would most certainly be declared. Especially if I were lucky enough to not have to worry about being there for my family. I am quite certain, if attachments did not restrain me, I would be living a life my own moral code.
Perhaps it is cowardice that I do not do so now.
Confliction... There are many that do not understand it's true meaning. Whether to let your soul that longs for freedom to fade away slowly with your own genius by being a mere...boot licker; or to let that fire burn brightly and say to hell with the world. As I grow into the personal that I shall be for the rest of my life, I battle a depression that speaks that I am nothing. I Know I am meant for something important. Every day I have to remind myself that. I am in a habit that I can never fully let go of, a perfectionist in what I choose to want to do.
Perfection...an evil thing when it comes down to it. Just as you think you are on the right path to perfect your trade....just when you start to get comfortable with it...is when that painful slap of reality hits you. You failed. Somehow, that failure comes about, it is only a setback in reality, but to a perfectionist, it is complete and utter failure...only because you try to do the right thing properly, fairly, justly, especially when in evolves doing something you've never been good at, and you have someone breathing down your neck to do it faster. In the end, it takes you longer. A distraction throws you off completely.
You have to fight the fact that people may think you're stupid because you are a little slow at something deemed as easy, or because your tongue is not always able to convey the backward language of your mind into something...remotely understandable, in a matter of seconds. Such things as these, feeling of incompetence when you know you can do better... This is what will destroy a soul in the end...
