I was watching A New Hope today and something caught my eye that did not make since. Earlier in the film, it was mentioned that the Jedi were a dead race. But when the Rebellion Pilots are being briefed about the DeathStars weakness, the commander ends the meeting by saying,"May the Force be with you!" Why would Lucas have him say that when the Jedi were near extinction and no one was known to follow their beliefs? Just something that I thought I would share.
