The story of Ben Keto: The Vision

A/N: Here is chapter 5 of the ongoing epic...I appreciate feedback if you have any! :)

Ben sat bolt upright in the bed within the temporary room he was now in. He was sweating, and he let out a shudder, thinking. He had just had a dream-no, a vision. A terrible vision. He replayed it over in his head again...

A figure clad in a black cloak, with the hood drawn up, sat cross-legged in meditation. The surface he sat upon looked dry, cracked, sandy...and pillars sat in two rows beside him. The one thing that Ben knew distinguished the planet from any other, were the large stone doors, the entrances to the tombs of the ancient Sith. Korriban, a planet with the darkside running through its very core. Even more specifically, the Valley of the Dark Lords. Ben had no recollection of studying this, it was like he just knew. At that moment, a young woman, around 1.8 meters in height, with brown hair, and icy blue eyes approached. She continued to walk, until only a few feet separated them. It looked as if she was holding back tears, and she spoke softly. "Ben? What's happened to you? Why..." She trailed off, her teary eyes still pinning him with a cold stare.

Ben, or whatever he had become, laughed wickedly. "Poor little deluded Jedi. You thought I loved you? Maybe I did, at one point, when I was a fool, a pawn of those putrid, useless Jedi of yours. Now, I have seen the truth, I have unleashed my true power, became what I was always meant to be! A Dark Lord of the Sith, and the only one of my kind." He said, his yellow eyes blazing with hate and anger.

"I won?t, I can't believe this, we...we...you...I loved you! And what do you do? You left. You left me, you left the Jedi, and you left all you ever cared for! All for your own selfish desires." Tears now began slipping down her cheeks, as her anger began to rise up within her.

He walked closer, now mere inches from her. The look on his features was a twisted mask of hate, as he looked at her eye-to eye. "The Jedi held me back! They held me back from my true destiny, what I was always meant to be, what I am. Sith. I knew you would find me, because you and your own wants would make you. Do you know why I never shattered the Force Bond we shared? It was because you had potential, and you still do...don't let your mind be warped by the Jedi?s lies! Join me, as my apprentice, stand by me, and you can have the love you so dearly want, again." He placed his right hand beneath her chin, and looked at her, his eyes now a faint shade of crimson.

The woman's eyes flashed briefly, with desire as he spoke. She stammered a bit as she began to speak. "I...I...want your love. But I don't know if I can sacrifice my whole life, for you. The Galaxy needs order, and all the Jedi do is defend, never lead, as the politicians argue." Her eyes now flashed ever so faintly, with a tinge of crimson. She appeared to be giving in the darkness within her, but then suddenly said, "My Lord...how dare you ever speak to me like that! I am a Jedi!" She screamed, her words echoing throughout the valley. She looked at him hatefully, reaching up and slapping him hard across the face. "I'll never join you, and your twisted visions of power and order!"

He did not even flinch as she slapped him, and nodded with approval. "Good...use your anger for me, you know you are not a Jedi, and you will not be...soon."

She opened her mouth to speak, but shut it. She gave him a final hateful glare, before turning and walking away. More tears slipped down her cheeks as she walked, and she didn?t bother to brush them away.

The Sith Lord stood silently, watching her go, and chuckling to himself. "She will join me, and willingly, at that." He said with finality, and let loose a torrent of Force Lighting, raising his hands towards the sky. He cackled, and the sound echoed throughout the entire valley.

Ben, now snapped back to reality, gasped quietly, in pure shock at what he had seen. Betraying Alice, turning to the dark side, and trying to prey on her apparent love for him to bring her with him. Dawn was breaking on the Dantooine horizon, and he sighed, remembering what was to happen in a couple short hours. The meeting with the Council, to decide what Ben and Alice's fate, and maybe more. "I can't tell Alice, I can't...she'd think I was crazy," he muttered. Ben could only sit there, his face still stricken with shock at what he had seen. He waited for what was to come next, as that was all he could do.

(Yeah, I know i put off the Council meeting, but we all love suspense, right? :P)
