They survived ... they were disbanded after the Mandalorian wars and the Jedi Civil War, until they were brought back together by Canderous Ordo, after they re-united they stayed together, acting as mercenaries, pirates, and bounty hunters, until the Mandalorian Civil War between the Death Watch and the Supercommandos. After that Jango Fett took over as Mandalore and left, becoming a bounty hunter. Wehn he died, Alpha-02, or Spar, took over as Mandalore and rallied the rest of them together, fighting for the seperatists. When Spar died the mandalorians once again faded away, and the only know Mandalorian at the time was Boba Fett. After Jabba's death and Boba's escape from the Sarlacc, Boba became Mandalore, and then left, leaving his daughter to take over for him. Later, Boba would come back and take over the position himself. So, thats the history in a nutshell, and now that Boba is back, the Mandalorians are united once more. They didn't dissapear.

Oh they did survive...you must remember that Mandalorians choose there battles carefully, as in who pays the most for their services....furthermore, read up on the books...They still survive and are becoming stronger every day.
