The History of Garik Maj-Han/Lord Ire

Garik Maj'Han was born on Carratos, a haven planet for outlaws and other outcasts. It was here his parents met for the first time. His father, Meric, was a low level Vigo for Black Sun. His mother, Serenna, worked as a bounty hunter and assassin for the same organization. They encountered one another at a party held by Prince Xizor and the two had what could only be described as a torrid love affair until Serenna announced she was pregnant.

Serenna quit working regularly as an assassin to raise Garik. Meric also took time to raise his son as well. It was commonplace for Meric to occasionally take watch of Garik while continuing in his duties as Vigo. If Garik learned anything from his father it was how to be totally ruthless. One day Garik witnessed his father calmly order a Twilek into an airlock and coldly release her into the upper atmosphere. His time spent with his mother brought different lessons. Besides being a hired gun Sarenna was also a Follower of Palawa. From her Garik learned of the corrupt nature of the Jedi and that it was his right to defend against their form of tyranny.

Garik's world changed forever when he was 10 years old. While he and his mother sat in meditation Meric arrived at their quarters drunk on lum. Without warning Meric attacked Serenna with a vibroblade. Unable to defend against the attack without harming her beloved, she chose to die rather than put up a fight. At the moment Meric drove the blade into Serenna's chest Garik tapped into the dark side for the first time and snapped his father's neck in a single movement hurling his body across the room. Before Meric's body hit the floor Garik was standing over his mother. He knelt at his mother's side holding her hand in her final moments.

For many following months Garik survived on the street of the Chofin Settlement. He used one of his father's lessons to stay alive: "Protect what you have, for someone will always want what you have."

On what would be a fateful day Garik noticed a cloaked figure with a lightsaber strapped to his hip watching him from afar. Garik began to lead what he believed to be a wanna-be Jedi with a death wish towards a secluded alleyway. Once away from prying eyes Garik quickly hid behind a stack of storage containers. In wait for his prey Garik allowed for the perfect moment to strike. As the cloaked figure began to pass Garik struck with a powerful attack forcing the figure to fall back. While the figure defended against the attack he revealed himself as Darth Zealous, a trianii Dark Jedi turned Sith Lord. As it would happen Zealous sensed Garik's presence and wanted to train the boy as his apprentice. When he promised to teach Garik everything he would need to kill Jedi Garik ended his attack and accepted Zealous' offer. In that very alleyway Garik knelt before his new master as Zealous proclaimed him Darth Ire.

As it would turn out Zealous never allowed Ire to forget the day they met. Forcing lesson after lesson Zealous ran Ire ragged with training and study. Over the years Ire was molded into a perfect weapon. Ire mastered the seven forms of lightsaber combat but excelled at Jar Kai. From his studies of the Sith arts Ire learned many great things but his curiosity made him more interested in the manifestation of the dark side which lead him to study Sith Alchemy. Soon came the day Ire was waiting for...the construction of his own lightsaber. Ire spent two months in seclusion to create his weapon and when he finished his masterpiece he realized he had overlooked one thing...he needed to build a second.

Once Ire finished Zealous began work on Ire's Sith tattoos which once complete covered Ire's arms, legs, and torso. Not long after Zealous sent his apprentice on assignment throughout the galaxy. Ire completed the tasks laid before him with ruthless cunning and sheer will of the Force. After many years of loyal service to his master Ire started to lay his plans for succeeding Zealous and his plan started with a spark in the darkness...

While tracking an ancient Sith holocron Ire felt a strong disturbance in the Force coming from a nearby system. He changed course and set out for a meeting with destiny. Soon Ire arrived above the planet Dantooine and determined this was where the ripples in the Force originated from. When he landed Ire came upon an obliterated refugee camp which was strewn with burning structures and smoldering bodies. Using a psychometric technique Ire discovered that Imperial AT-AT's stormed the camp and killed everyone...except one small boy. Ire took young Colton Qel-Droma to his personal sanctuary on Munto Codru and hid him from his master.

After nearly 10 years of training Colton in secrecy Ire began his move for the title of Sith Master. He arrived at his master's temple on Almas after what would be his last mission for his Zealous. Ire used his newly aquired taozin breastplate to mask his presence in the Force from his master. Ire entered Zealous' bedchamber and paralyzed him with a Sith poison. Ire gloated as he sat on his master's chest and watched as a growing fear became evident on Zealous' face. Ire simply grinned as he let loose a blast of dark side lightning mere inches from Zealous' head. With his master dead Ire assumed the title of Sith Master and took young Colton, now Darth Acheron, to begin his formal training as his apprentice.

After several more years of training Ire knew the day would soon come that Acheron would want the title of master for himself. Although he believed Acheron would make a fine Sith Master, Ire realized that the Sith still needed strong leadership in the following battles to come. He set into motion a plan to make Acheron a master but that also allowed him to continue on aiding the cause against the Jedi. Setting things in motion Ire used his newly created clone as a replacement for a time making Acheron believe the clone was him. Ire allowed Acheron to kill the clone on Talasea gaining Acheron the title of Sith Master but allowing the true Darth Ire to stay alive to help the Sith cause.

After Acheron's rise Ire sought his help with a mutual annoyance, Darth Beppo. Ire had recently returned from deep space with a new Chiss Expansion Fleet at the side of his Eclipse-class Super Star Destroyer, the Atrocity. The combined force of Ire, Acheron, and Grievous came to meet Beppo's fleet over the planet of Naboo as a sign of support for Nefario who was trapped on the surface. It was in this showdown that Acheron proved his worthiness of the title of Sith. Acheron summoned a Force Storm forcing Beppo, and all alike, to retreat. Ire thought his former apprentice had not survived, but a tremor in the force told him otherwise. Acheron's return made Ire realize he had succeeded in his task of training him.

Eventually Ire struck a new understanding with Beppo and the two have maintained a truce sense that day. But now a new task awaited Ire... a new Brotherhood of Darkness ruled by a Sith Council of 7. The thought of the Brotherhood rising up once more to destroy the Jedi made Ire gitty. However, his feelings would be short lived.

During the recruitment process, Darth Acheron planted a spy within Ire's camp and stole information from the databanks of the Atrocity. Ire killed the spy and swore vengeance upon his former apperntice, and that is what he would get, even if in ment his life. Acheron quickly sought favor with Ire's allies, to try to bring him down. Acheron used the fear of Ire seeking to destroy the Sith as fuel for his deception of the other masters. When Ire learned of the smearing of his name, he set in motion the proper plans to assure Acheron's cancer would be cut out of the galaxy.

The battle between Ire and his former apprentice would come quickly. The two found themselves once again over the planet Talasea, with onlookers watching all the action. Acheron started of by utilizing guerilla tactics, ordering a star destroyer to crash into one the Atrocity's engines, attacking Ire's forces in Hangar Bay 1138, and then striking down the bridge crew. Once the two met face to face, Acheron had one more card to play.

The last four ships that comprised Acherons fleet were ordered on a collision course for the Atrocity's bridge. The concurrent explosion that followed had ramifications that neither Ire or Acheron could have imagined. Ire fought his apprentice ferociously, making it clear why he was the master, and Acheron was not. Acheron was defiant to the end, not allowing himself to believe in defeat. Then Acheron made his last mistake, challenging Ire to unarmed combat.

Being raised in the arts of Teras Kasi, Ire knew that this battle would soon be over. Acheron tried to attack Ire, but to no avail. Several powerful moves from Ire left Acheron unconscious on the hangar bay floor. Ire glanced over to the gravlift in the bay, and decides it was time to take out the garbage. Ire dragged Acheron's limp form over to the cavernous abbys that was made by Acheron's star destroyer. He raised his former apprentice over his head and hurled him into the void. However, Acheron was not finished. As Acheron fell he grabbed Ire wrist and the two dangled over the void. Ire cursed Acheron as he fell into the abbys and left Acheron thinking him dead at last. Acheron climed his way back into the hangar bay and looked upon the resting place of his former master, or so he thought.

Ire appeared behind his former apprentice, battered and bloodied from the twisted shards of durasteel within the void, and drove his sith sword through Acheron. Ire removed Acheron from his blade and pushed his lifeless body down the shaft to his death. Ire needed to see the body before he ruled Acheron officially dead, and came to find him lying in a pool of blood, his body cut and crushed by the impact. Acheron's body soon ignited into an inferno of blue flame, as his body disappeared. It was now evident to Ire how powerful in the dark side Acheron truly was.

Not too long after that Ire joined the Empress Athena's new Empire and was sent on a was sent on a mission to cause dissension in the Republic. It was then that Ire learned that Acheron's "son" was trying to resurrect him. Ire monitored this as it developed. When Ire crashed the resurrection ceremony, Acheron's son tried to kill him. Ire dispatched the would be warrior easily and took a look at the reborn Acheron. The two settled differences and went their separate ways. Then Ire joined the Empire and everything changed.

  1. Actually, you just met one heavy lift transport. My fleet was back at my base, as was I while enjoying an extra large glass of blue milk.
