Lilian Rand

The StealthX lands silently in the atmosphere of the wasteland planet, a lone female figure jumps out of the ship. Mud splashes out from under her as her boots hit the ground. She curses under her breath for getting the bottom of her outfit dirty. She's wearing dark slacks with black boots, a red shirt and a black jacket, her equipment pack is slung across her shoulder. A disgusted look crosses her face as she smells the rotten decay that fills the swampy area. She surveys her surroundings, trying to ignore her disgust at the smell. She watches the plague of incests cover the boiling mud bogs and shakes her head as she speaks out loud, "This is the Glorious Jewel?"
She laughs at the madness of it and starts to walk into the swamp. After an hour she stops and takes the water bottle out of her pack and feels outwards with Force Sense and Empathy. She feels nothing at all and begins to get frustrated at the idea that Alemia has sent her on a fool's errand. She drinks for a moment then returns the bottle to her pack, then continues to walk through the swamp.

She heads into a clearing and sees a red and white speeder to her far right with no one near it. She uses the Force and her eyes to look around, trying to see any life forms nearby. Suddenly a zabrak female comes out of thin air, she wears long black robes and her dark hair sticks slightly to her sweaty face. The zabrak looks at her strongly and mocks her, "So, they've sent you to do their dirty work? When will the exchange ever learn."
Lilian feels the anger rise within her as she slings her pack off her shoulder and tosses it aside in the muddy grass. In one quick motion she unclips her saber and ignites the deep blue blade, when she speaks, the rage can be heard.
"What the exchange does is none of your business, Sith, I have come to bring justice to all the people and worlds that you've hurt."
The zabrak looks confused, but ignites her green saber in reaction to Lilian.
"You are making a mistake, bounty hunter, it is you who will fall this day if you challenge me!



Lilian smirks as she uses Force Speed to quickly Force Jump into the air with her saber over her head, she brings it crashing down hard aimed right at the zabrak's head. The zabrak bends slightly to meet the overhead cleave and blocks it with her saber upright. She reaches her hand out to use Force Wave, sending Lilian flying into a muddy patch. Lilian curses, feeling the hot rage seething through her, she lifts her left hand up and sends a powerful Chain Lightning right at the zabrak, while she is still laying in the mud. Surprised, the zabrak holds her saber out to absorb the lightning. She starts to feel it moving up her arms and she screams in pain as she Force Jumps away. Lilian stands slowly and yells at her, "It is you who makes the mistake Sith, in underestimating me and for spreading your darkness across this side of the galaxy!" Lilian jumps forward and brings her saber downwards across the zabrak's shoulder to her hip in a slash, the zabrak blocks the slash by turning her saber under and looks into Lilian's eyes, as they stay in the saber lock. She speaks with strength, "You are as blind as all the rest of them!"

Lilian meets her gaze and feels the fury take over her, she pushes her saber forward to break the lock and quickly slashes the zabrak's mid-section while screaming, "You won't trick me with your lies, Sith... I have heard of all those you killed and tortured!"
The zabrak back flips out of the way of the slash the moment Lilian breaks the saber lock. She stands away from her and shakes her head, "I have spoken no lies... I have only ever done what I had to do!"
Lilian feels the anger still surging within her and sends a Force Whirlwind at the zabrak, which sends her back a few paces but serves only to distract her more than anything. Lilian uses the opportunity to use Force Choke.
The zabrak has trouble breathing for a moment than sends Force Wave at Lilian, who once again flies across the clearing and lands hard on her back.
The zabrak walks towards her with her saber still ignited, "You cannot defeat me Dark Jedi, I am stronger than you! Just surrender and I might let you live."

Lilian's eyes take on an amber shade as she stands, "You may be right, but I have justice on my side, if I cannot stop you and your evil, I will die trying!
She steps forward to meet the zabrak and feints a jab to the left side of her stomach she does a clockwise 360 degree spin bringing her saber around in a powerful mid-slash.
The zabrak sweeps her saber upwards to block what she perceives as a jab, her eyes widen as she sees Lilian's saber coming around and quickly steps back and brings her saber in an awkward downwards position. Their sabers lock and Lilian uses her strength to take advantage of the zabrak's awkwardness. Unable to meet her strength, the zabrak loses her grip on her saber. Lilian sweeps her saber upwards in a quick spin to sever the zabrak's hands, the green lightsaber drops in the muddy grass. Without a moments hesitation, Lilian stabs the zabrak in the stomach and kicks her to the floor. Lilian disengages her saber and stands over the zabrak's body as her moans of pain fill the swamp around them.
The zabrak coughs in between her screams of pain and manages to speak,
"The darkness has truly... destroyed me now... I gave it up... only to have one consumed by it kill me.."
A flash of fear and confusion appears on Lilian's face, she kneels down to the zabrak whispering slowly,
"Gave up the darkness... you are a Jedi?"
For the first time since her arrival on the planet, the zabrak lets go of the Force Concealment, letting Lilian feel the lightside strong within her.
Tears form at Lilian's eyes and she breaks down sobbing as she feels the Force leave the Jedi's body.

Her screams of anguish can be heard throughout the swampy terrain,
"Noooooooo!!!! What have I done!!!! I have killed a Jedi Master!!!"
Her anger and rage leave her completely, a heavy guilt takes it's place as she stares at the body, unable to fully grasp how it all happened.
She cries in silence for a long time, then hardens her heart as she picks the green saber up from the ground, staring at it for a moment. She clips it on her belt and goes in search of some dry wood or material to give the Jedi a proper funeral rite. After searching the swamps for hours, she returns with the materials in her arms. She sets everything up and carefully lifts the zabrak's body and sets it in on top of the wood. She starts a fire by using a weak Force Lightning on the wood and stands back with tears running down her face, as she watches the flames consume the Jedi she killed. She whispers into the empty air, "I am sorry... my life has been nothing but failure, I cannot escape myself it seems..." She lowers her head and her tears fall unto the muddy grass,
"May the Force grant you peace.."





She turns away from the pyre and picks up her pack, then climbs unto the zabrak's speeder, racing as far away from the battle site as she can. Once she arrives at her ship she gets off the speeder and looks at it carefully. She notices a compartment right below the seat, and opens it. She finds some food and supplies as well as a handwritten letter addressed to Jirakla, Jedi Master, it is unsigned. She begins to read it aloud,
"Jirakla, Jedi Master for the lost Jedi,
Please continue to monitor Lilian, she has lost her way, just as her father. She spends her days as a bounty hunter for the Exchange with the skills that I taught her. You must never blow your cover, even if the Exchange catch onto our plan and send her to eliminate you. Do not let her know you are a Jedi, she will be angered that I have used my influence thus far... please do everything you can to show her the truth of the Force. Her destiny will be great, whether it's in the darkness or the light. May the Force be with you, my friend."
Anger and sorrow well up within Lilian and she feels completely blind sighted and wronged by everyone; The Exchange, the Jedi, and her friends. She rereads it a couple more times and feels an overwhelming sense of being lost and alone. She tucks the letter in her pocket and jumps in her StealthX leaving Nal Hutta behind her, promising herself that she will never return.
