History:

Growing up in a small settlement on Koribban, young Ashlar was taught at a very young age the history and beliefs of the Sith. The Force was very strong in him even as a child.

Imperial Service

At the young age of fourteen, his parents sent him to the Imperial Academy where he quickly rose through the ranks of pilots, earning the Callsign "Reaper" for his lethal piloting ability.

Upon graduation, he was assigned to the 141st TIE Interceptor Squadron, one of the first squadrons to fly the Interceptors.During a strike mission on a Rebel supply convoy, Ashlar took control of the Squad from the squad leader because he had a strong vision of the squad's imminent failure using the S.L.'s attack plan. Having benefited from Ashlar's premonitions before, the rest of the squad followed Ashlar's lead despite the objections from the Squad Leader. Although the mission was a smashing success, Ashlar was transferred to the 181st, also known as the 18-worst, by the jealous squad leader.

Shortly after his arrival in the 181st, a new commanding officer was put in charge. Soontir Fel, the Baron of the Empire. Under the Baron's leadership, Ashlar flourished, earning bloodstripes on his uniform and TIE Interceptor for his numerous kills in battle. He fought side-by-side with the Baron at Derra IV and the Battle of Hoth. Shortly after the Battle of Endor, Ashlar's father sent an intricately encrypted holo to him telling him it was time to return home.

Life, Love, and Adventure

Upon returning home, his father revealed to him a collection of Sith Holocrons. He gave them to Ashlar and entrusted him with their safety. With the fall of the Emperor and Lord Vader, the Sith were in danger of becoming extinct. His father knew of the Jedi Skywalker and knew it wouldn't be long before the Jedi Order was restored. The restoration of the Jedi would undoubtedly lead to a hunt for Sith artifacts with the purpose of destruction. His father charged him with protecting the legacy of the Sith so that one day they may rise again. Using the credits he stashed during his service to the Empire, he purchased an YT-2400 Corellian Freighter and dubbed it the Falcon's Claw. He paid for heavy modifications to the shielding, weapons, and hyperdrive systems to make it one of the deadliest freighters in the galaxy.

During his search for a co-pilot, he happened across a beautiful female twi-lek named Miran M'Yetto at a cantina on Nar Shaddaa. Ashlar intervened as two slavers were trying to capture Miran and force her into slavery to Unus the Hutt. They escaped the planet, landing on Dxun. Impressed by Miran's piloting ability, showcased in their escape from Nar Shaddaa, Ashlar asked Miran to become his co-pilot. His father would send him money and leads on Sith artifacts, which Ashlar explained to Miran as jobs for collectors. During their adventures, Ashlar and Miran fell deeply in love and eventually married on Coruscant. Ashlar began studying the artifacts they had collected, learning more and more about the ancient techniques of the Sith. As hard as he tried, something was missing as he was never able to fully release his power.

Descent into Darkness

During a trip to Corellia, Miran had been purchasing supplies when she was approached by a Jedi Academy recruiter named Vlas Bilbas, who had noticed her Force presence. Miran had always had an urge to fight for the freedom of her fellow female twi-leks. She agreed to meet the Jedi again to further discuss the possibility of joining the Jedi, but made no mention of the meeting to Ashlar, knowing how he felt about the Jedi and his former allegiances to the Empire. Before the meeting took place, Ashlar received a communique with only a time and place listed on it. The paranoia of having such valuable merchandise in his possession, the holocrons, had begun to burrow its way into Ashlar's mind. He approached the meeting place cloaking his presence with a technique discovered in one of the holocrons. He saw Miran meeting with a stranger, a Rodian female. Ashlar could feel the Rodian in the Force and knew instantly the Rodian was a Jedi.

Upon returning to the Falcon's Claw, Ashlar confronted Miran. Miran told Ashlar that she was going to the Jedi Academy. The betrayal flooded Ashlar with hurt and anger, making him suddenly feel a surge of power. He let loose waves of Force Lightning, a power he hadn't been able to get to work before, striking Miran down. Consumed by grief and horror at what he had done, Ashlar rushed Miran to a medic and left the planet. Ashlar wouldn't know, but Miran would survive his attack and begin her training with the Jedi. She would search the galaxy for Ashlar with the hope of bringing him back from the dark side. She would never tell the other Jedi of him out of fear that they would hunt Ashlar down and destroy him.

Ashlar, completely devestated at the loss of his love, returned to Koribban to seek the council of his father. His father revealed to Ashlar that he had been the one who had sent him the cryptic message with the meeting place and time. His father's spies had seen Miran's first meeting with the Jedi and were able to find out the place and time of the second meeting. His father explained that Miran's death was needed for the greater good. Her death at his hands was the final obstacle to the birth of the new Dark Lord of the Sith. Ashlar was unable to contain his rage. Lashing out with his new-found power fueled by his rage and pain, he lifted his father off the ground with merely an open hand. He closed his hand snapping his father's spine in two. His uncle, his father's second in charge, attempted to kill Ashlar, but Ashlar projected horrific images into the man's mind driving him insane.

As he left Koribban, he headed for a planet he found in one of the holocrons to search for more teachings of the Sith and to perfect those he already possessed. The planet was mentioned as another home to the Sith that had been long-abandoned.

It was there Ashlar remained, tortured constantly by his grief and guilt for his lost love and the pain of betrayal at the hands of his father. It was here that Darth Odious was born.

Path to Redemption

After toiling away in isolation, spies revealed to him a disturbing situation, two lovers were being torn apart by the dark side. The situation brought back feelings of guilt and anguish for his lost love causing his anger and hate to falter.
He rescued Kage Tuskers from the Empress and took him to the safety of the Gray Jedi Order's HQ. What he perceived as Miran's spirit came to visit him in his dreams, he took this to be a sign from Miran that he should stay with the Greys and work toward redemption.
After a trip home to seek forgiveness from his mother and brother, Ashlar relocated them to the safety of the planet where he served his years of exile. He has now returned to the Gray to continue on his path to redemption.

Reunited and it feels so good

After years of searching, Miran has found Ashlar and the two have come together like they never missed a step. What will the future hold for them?
