We've recieved a lot of questions about how long we've been collecting, well not all that long. We started collecting around April of 2007 after a job relocation brought us to a small college town from a larger city. Before we moved, we both enjoyed Star Wars via the movies, but were not "collectors" by any means. Cate had amassed the Burger King toy collection minus a couple of random ones. In the new place we had a lot more space, so I opened them and put them on a shelf. Feeling the need to "complete" the collection, we searched them out on ebay.
Did I mention that we moved to a college town, see that was the problem, since we were not drinkers or bar hoppers, time can drag without something to do. Well, from the Burger King toys we started doing Legos. Then came the 30th Coin collection. And long story short, it reached the epic level that you see now.
We decided to lay down some ground rules about our collecting:
1. We would never buy anything that we could not open.
2. We would never open any "special" toys that we did not have two of.
3. Fifty dollars was our limit for any one item except on Legos.
4. We would not cheat on Star Wars with "other toys".

Next time we'll get into how we now have broken every rule...
