After the second temple invasion, Dawn Shadows spent much time learning to use the Force to master the Force Powers that would have aided her had she known them. She learns to begin using Battle Meditation to aid her fellow Jedi as they are enguaged in combat, as well as learning to add herself to the Jedi Battlemind. she learns Precognition and Battle Precognition so that she will not be taken by a surprise attack again. She is trying to develop Comprehend Speech after all the unusual speech at the post battle celebration, but that will take time to master.

Dawn used Force Stealth to sneak into Grand Master Dodge Girl's office and used Droid Disable on Dallas to make sure she could use it if needed. When she turned Dallas back on, she got a shock that make her hair stand up. Dallas called for Dodge Girl and Dawn ran out of her office and back to her chambers to wash her hair. When Dodge Girl reviewed the holovid, she laughed at the funny sight, knowing Dawn wasn't going to try that again.

Seeing Master Luke and her man Master Vos beat on each other, Dawn left to go to the infirmary to take a class in Force Healing from Master Ben Skywalker. One day she hopes to be as skilled as he is. She will continue to work at it. In using Force Healing to heal a broken bone, it took so much energy that she was exhausted during the attempt. She opened herself up to the Force to be able to continue. She later learned that this was a Force Power called Revitalize. Now that she knows how to do it, she can keep herself going for as long as she needs to do so.

Dawn had always wondered why she could hold her breath for so long under water when she went swimming back on Felucia. After reading through the Jedi archives, she learned that this was a Force Power known as Breath Control. She spent time practicing this in the Spa and can now hold her breath for hours at a time. After being drawn into another fight by Draco Espy, she ended up learning Plant Surge from her friend Jass. He also taught her and Grainee to use Tapas to keep warm when they went with him on a mission to Hoth, and Animal Friendship to ride Rancors when they went to Dathmoir. Master Liana taught her to use Force Persuasion to help her with her future attmepts to bring someone out of the darkness and into the light after she failed to turn Draco away from the dark side twice.

Dawn learned to use Combustion to blow up small objects from Master Vos. As she continues to develop the ability, the objects that can be blown up will be larger. He also taught her how to use Force Stun to allow someone to be taken into custody when needed.
