Raven Fenn

Fenn Shysa was a Mandalorian who fought in the Clone Wars and later became Mandalore. An ally to Leia Organa and the New Republic, Shysa liberated his world from the Galactic Empire and later fought against the Nagai and the Tofs. After almost two decades of rule, Shysa died on Shogun, protecting Boba Fett from an unknown threat.

Early life
Like Tobbi Dala, Shysa was a native of the planet Mandalore, born on a small province off the coast of Mandalore's largest continent a few decades before the Clone Wars. He was a local constable until Spar began to recruit new Mandalorian Supercommandos for his war against the Jedi during the Clone Wars.

Clone Wars
Shysa and his friend Dala wasted no time in joining Spar's cause. Fenn fought with the Mandalorians until their defeat at Norval II. Of the two hundred and twelve Mandalorians he joined, only he, Dala, and Spar lived.

Fenn was somewhat ignorant of the true nature of his participation in the wars. He mistakenly identified his leader as Boba Fett, no doubt due to their identical physical appearance, and he would later confuse his assassination target Padme Amidala with her daughter, Leia Organa. Curiously, however, he seemed to be aware that Darth Sidious was actually Palpatine, at least by 3 ABY when he later recounted the tale to Leia; he stated that the Mandalorians, who were allied with the Confederacy of Independent Systems, had fought on the Emperor's side, and seemed to believe that the Emperor came to power as a result of his side's victory.

Shysa returned to Mandalore in the hope of living out the rest of his life in peace, but that wasn't meant to be. Upon returning to Mandalore, Shysa found it in the control of the Galactic Empire and slavers. Shysa himself was accused of being a criminal and an outlaw, but this didn't prevent Shysa and his friend Dala from being enlisted to train new police units around the planet.

As the years passed Shysa and Tobbi began their own rebellion against the Empire, which, though limited in scope, finally achieved some measure of success after twenty years of fighting. With the assistance of Leia Organa and the sacrifice of Tobbi Dala, the Empire was routed and forced off Mandalore. The leadership of both his homeworld and its people fell on Shysa.

Mandalore
Now the new Lord Mandalore, Shysa rallied his people to finally defeat Grand Admiral Miltin Takel, and freed the Mandalore Sector completely. Fenn would later help the Alliance face their earliest threats in the Nagai/Tof invasion and the forces of Lord Shadowspawn. Choosing independence for his people, Shysa rejected offers to have Mandalore join the New Republic, instead he relied on his Mandalorian Protectors to protect the borders of the Mandalore Sector.

After almost twenty years of rule, Fenn Shysa died on the planet of Shogun saving Boba Fett from death.
