Episode III: Picking Boga

Description: The script for Episode III called for a scene in which Obi-Wan Kenobi selects Boga from a dragon pen on Utapau. It was never completed beyond the animatic stage. Here's a look at the scene in progress only on The World of Star Wars.

  4. It does look a lot like the video game. Cool scene!

  5. Why does this scene get cut, but all of the horrid Romance-novel-with-horrendously-bad/cheesy-dialogue scenes between Padme and Anakin get kept in? I would have preferred this scene over the excruciating pain of feeling trapped in a Danielle Steele novel instead of a STAR WARS movie!

  8. Not a bad scene, but I can see why it was left out. And Boga DID end up a girl in the novel.

  10. That was pretty cool, and the animatic was good. At first I thought that this scene was from Star Wars Episode III the video game. lol

  11. The novel was written after the episode I believe and since this was cut from the Screen then it is left open to interpretation. So it looks like Boga was a male and not a female.

Personally I think that it would have been left in. Remember there was extra film that Lucas added to the original SW ep where the Jawa is being flung around that really served no purpose.

Oh well can't take away George's reasons to have another go at our money. I don't mind a bit though. lol

  12. Interesting clip. I can see why it was dropped as it doesn't really add anything to the narrative. Interesting none the less. All we need now is the missing "Wampa attack on Echo Base" footage!
