I just saw Anthony Daniels (the actor who played C3P0) last night at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. Interestingly, Anthony Daniels actually wrote this PSA. It was his idea and his script. He said that in 1997 they wanted to re-release this commercial but they were denied because they said it was advertising the new movies.
BTW - Anthony Daniels is really a cool guy.
